Thanks to My Mom

As many of you know, it took my mom quite a while to learn to use the Health Cards. (It was the same with my brother.) Like many people, I think my mother felt helpless when I had mood swings. She read my books and she knew that I needed help, but how was always her main question. When I showed her the third column of the Health Cards she started to see what she could do.

When I wanted to give away all of my glasses in my kitchen, she knew it meant I was overwhelmed and she would come over and help me with my dishes. When I cried uncontrollably over a lost book deal or a relationship issue, she was worried and scared, but she knew what to do. It made such a difference for me. I am grateful every day for my mother. Even when we drive each other crazy.
