This is a note to say hi with an update on my latest work. As you may have noticed, my blog posts have skipped a few months.

The good news is that I’m writing.

It has been five years between books due to bipolar.

I can dwell on this..

    You rock, Julie! Welcome back!

I relapsed in June, and I had not one, not two, but THREE mental hospitalizations (complete with lots of bilateral ECT that totally messed up my memory) over the summer….

I had over $120,000.000 worth of medical charges and my health insurance only covers part of that. UGH.
To top things off, as a writer, I had my first book contract for my book “Birth of a New Brain” based on living successfully med-free. That was a huge dream-come-true for me, but I had to cancel that as my med-free concept is bogus now. I need psych meds to live! The ECT saved my life too. If I continue to experience remission for my depression, I have a new book concept about how living med-free did NOT work for me.

My main point is how stoked I am to see that you are writing again! YAY! You inspire me to no end.

Sending you all my good thoughts for continued productive and satisfying writing!!!

    Your fan,
    Dyane

Julie, thanks for your posts. I reviewed your website and your product offerings. I have started wondering: can/ why can’t the health cards and the other products be used for people with another diagnosis? I worked for 21 years with “at risk youth” in various capacities; and somethings that worked for an auditory- processing disorder worked for ADHD and Bipolar youth/students. What are your thoughts and feelings on this and do you know of opinions from other experts on ” cross- over use of the products? My inspiration for writing is related to a 30 year old nephew suspected of an Autism Spectrum Disorder (his mother was agreeable an OCD pre-school diagnosis, but not to Autism ). He has been angry/jealous and pushed his father’s girlfriend numerous times, including when she held an18 month old, and needed 2 adults to push him down to the ground to keep from going continuing pushing her. Nephew’s mother & RN Bipolar Grandmother refuse him a home but sabotage treatment plans.
