Hello to everyone.. I always try to leave a reply on the comments I received, but as you can probably tell- wanting to do something and being able to do something is quite different. So, I have an idea I may have mentioned before.
Feel free to send me questions of one to two sentences and I will answer with the same. That way I can get to everybody and we can get some quick solutions to problems. Sometimes we really can find out what to do just from reading a few sentences.
Please keep your comments as long as you want- I read all of them daily. Long comments help a lot of people.
I look forward to your questions!
Julie
Hi Julie,
I am working with a psychiatrist and psychotherapist right now. Their still investigating where I am on the spectrum but it looks like ultradian rapid cycling bipolar II with psychotic features (obviously during the depressive episodes only). I want to hear from you or others on some examples of medication regiments they are on that works for them. Especially from other BPII’s. I know each person responds differently to each med but it would help to have some people just give some short and sweet examples with a short descriptive of why they take each of the meds (i.e. Lamictal: BP depression; Geodon: Psychosis; Depakote: Mania/Stabilization; etc.. Right now I am about halfway into the Lamictal dosing starting 100mg in a few days. I am weaning off of Effexor 300mg (did I mention “ultradian rapid cycling” :), and I also use gabapentin for some nerve pain that surprisingly broke my rapid cycling when I started it a few months ago. I also take provigil for adjunct to my cpap that seems to be an adjunct to my bipolar depression. Thanks Julie.
